Heart-to-heart exchanges will boost ties: Wen Jiabao

As curtains drew on the year-long festival of China in India, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao tonight said heart-to-heart exchanges between the people of two countries will help in further enhancing ties. "Heart-to-heart exchanges between the two countries will help in further boosting the ties betwee China and India," the visiting premier said at a ceremony where artistes put up a dazzling show of fusion of the two ancient cultures.

"The outcome of my visit has been successful. We can say that an Asian century has arrived," he said.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who addressed the gathering at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, said, "We also open our hearts and minds to usher in the next decades of India-China friendship and cooperation."

Singh said the cooperation between the two neighbours will be the keystone of the Asian century that is unfolding.

Grandpa Wen Jiabao, surely has a point, is it possible to reach out and have heart to heart Talk ? China as a succesfull nation has lot to teach the poor Indian country how to handle the poverty situation in India. Indians are the most pompous people with more temples and less schools ! India has nothing to show as humane to the civilised world other than some orchestrated events like asian games and some white wash events to pretend as evry thing OK with the nation. Basically India is the biggest slum country on earth failing by all global human improvmnt statistics

Given the mutual distrust, it was very well expected of beijing not to come out in open about supporting India’s claim for a permanent seat on the UNSC. Also, there is indeed, too much of trade deficit between these two asain giants. India should look forward to bridge the gap by appeasing China to open its market for a greater access to Indian Companies. Moreover an FTA at this moment is the least India would want, whose booming economy/market is already flooded too much with cheap chinese products resulting in such huge trade deficits.

Well well well. lets what Chinese premier gets out of his bag when he reaches Islamabad. multi billion trade agreements with India were expected.. lets hope our dumb leaders make out most of Chinese pm visit to Islamabad and boost trade and Chinese investment even further. most important of all would be finalization of civil nuclear deal of china with Pakistan. we really need that.

There is a lesson to learn. Economic ties are the only way to ease tension between India and Pakistan

The only thing left for Premier Wen to do is ask Pakistan to dismantle Terror Infrastructure and say Terrorism from Pakistani soil is unacceptable like other great leaders have done.
