General Elections In Pakistan Will Be Held In ?

Islamabad: In PPP Core Committee meeting, it decided to hold Next General election in October 2012 instead of 2012. It means this is the elections year in Pakistan. The meeting was co-chaired by President Zardari and PM Gilani in which upcoming political strategy of PPP was planned. Although no official stamen has been come regarding this, its PPP leadership has decided to hold early General Elections.

If it happened then this government would not complete its constitutional tenure due to early schedule election. Only last election was hold after completion on constitutional time.

Few days back, JUI-F leader Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman said that early election is possible according to constitution while Nawaz Sharif already suggested early elections.

Since the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has formed government in 2008 most of the people in media are predicting that General elections will be held on this date or that date. But now these talks of General Elections are on high and some were predicting that the senate elections will not take place but the predication was wrong. Some senior media persons have claimed that the next General elections will be held in September or October 2012

Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani has hinted at the possibility of Pakistan’s next general election being held ahead of schedule saying he will hold consultations on the issue with his allies and the opposition after the passage of the federal budget 2012.
